We could tell you Zimba is Swahili for lion, but it’s not. It’s just a small town in Central Africa. Our founding director chose Zimba because she was travelling through Africa and thought it sounded cool. Besides, someone else was already using Zambesi.
We started with the name and a couple of our own designs in the 90's, which have gone on to become design classics. At least we think so.
Our focus is now on bringing the best International kitchenware & homeware brands to the folks from Downunder. We think we’ve done a pretty good job at it too. We're the largest distributor of innovative homeware and kitchenware in Australia and New Zealand. Whoop Whoop!
We are driven to reduce our carbon footprint by only selling quality, long lasting products. We have so much faith in the quality that most of our brands carry a 25 year 'true' lifetime warranty. Look after the planet by buying Zimba products to reduce landfill.
